CAN YOU DESCRIBE YOURSELF?
My name is Lovisa Montelius and I am 24 years old. I am studying to become a web developer in .NET at EC Utbildning in Örebro. I have been programming for 5 years, and I think I will do it for another 40 years.
I have moved around a lot during my childhood. When I was about to turn 5 years old, my family and I moved to the US, and stayed there for about 5 years before we moved back to Sweden. That time has definitely characterised me as a person and is still visible on me today, but my future plans are to settle and get a job in Örebro.
In my spare time, I play a lot of computer games with my friends. Last summer, they helped me build my own desktop computer, which in the process was hard but very rewarding. I also have a great passion for Japanese culture, and the dream is to go to Japan one day.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE DISH?
I love sushi!
what is the best thing about working in web development?
Being able to type a few words on the computer and make a nice and useful application out of it. The adrenaline that overtakes you when you finally solve the problem you've been stuck on for hours/days.
WHAT IS THE FAVOURITE COURSE FOR web developers in the .NET programme?
So far, my favourite course has been "Agile System Development with SCRUM", where we were a group of five people with the goal of creating a fully complete and functional web shop. It was incredibly fun to work on a joint project with others and be able to support each other. I got to work with both frontend and backend, both equally fun parts. I would probably say that I'm better at the backend, but that's even more reason to work more with the frontend!
