Some questions and answers with Morgan Svensson
Today is Morgan's birthday, so what better time to wish her a happy birthday and ask her some questions.
1. can you describe yourself?
My name is Morgan Svensson and I am 41 years old. I grew up in Ervalla 2 miles north of Örebro. I live in Adolfsberg, Örebro together with my partner Åsa.
I worked as a warehouse worker for 20 years after leaving high school before deciding to change direction in life and pursue something new that I enjoy.
So I took a couple of courses in programming at komvux and then applied to the university of applied sciences. I got into EC Utbildnings Frontend developer programme in Västerås. It is a 2-year programme that I will finish in the summer of 2020. I have always liked working with computers and have really missed being able to be creative in my job. So frontend development suits me perfectly.
2. What do you like to do in your free time?
In my spare time I like to spend time with my family, exercise, cook, travel and watch sports, especially football and skiing.
3. What is your favourite dish?
I love seafood so I have to say moules frites. Always take it if it is on the menu.
4. What is the best thing about working in web development?
- Creativity - You get to be creative and make things.
- Problem solving - Here you have to be patient, and I think I have that. And it's great fun when you solve a problem you've been faced with.
- Instructive - You'll never be fully educated, so there's so much to learn and developments are moving forward at a furious pace, so it's important to be constantly curious and interested.
5. What is your favourite Frontend Developer course?
Definitely LIA (learning on the job). Here you get to go out into a real workplace and you learn so much. I've been lucky to get an internship as a Digital Partner where I've been involved in much more than just coding.
6. What have you been able to do at Digitalpartner during your first traineeship?
Above all, I have learnt how WordPress works and how it is to work in. I have been involved in real projects where I created websites for customers. I've worked a lot with Digitalpartner's website, which we have redesigned to suit the company's future development. Digitalpartner is much more than just websites so I have also learned search engine optimisation (SEO) and basic digital marketing. This is something I really appreciate and will continue to learn more about.
Graduate as frontend developer by summer
Morgan has studied frontend development at EC-Utbildning in Västerås for the past 2 years.
The Frontend Developer programme is a 2-year programme that aims to enable students to professionally develop dynamic, interactive and responsive web applications using HTML and the JavaScript programming language. Knowledge and practical experience of leading frameworks with modern tools and methods are also included in the programme.
Digitalpartner would like to thank and congratulate
We would once again like to thank Morgan for a really good and committed work during the internship and we are very happy that it will now continue during the spring and hopefully longer than that. Morgan has contributed with knowledge, ideas and energy that create value for both Digitalpartner and our customers. Happy birthday to the team at Digital partner!
