Who are you?
My name is Nova and I'm in 9th grade at Kunskapsskolan Örebro. If I had to choose one word to describe myself, it would probably be creative. I like to do fun projects in my spare time such as developing websites, sewing and writing. However, I would say that my biggest hobby right now is beach volleyball. In the summer, my family and I usually travel between different tournaments and camps all over Sweden to compete in the sport.
What will you do at secondary school?
I have chosen to follow the same line as my brother, technology at the customs level. The reason why I chose technology was mainly because of my interest in computers and web development, but also because I was interested in the specialisation design and product development. However, I will not be able to choose a specialisation before I start 2nd grade, but right now I am looking forward to just starting high school. The choice actually feels quite obvious because I was long in the process of going aesthetics for a while and so the product design specialisation is like a perfect middle ground between both aesthetics and technology.
What are you looking forward to with your traineeship?
I'm particularly looking forward to learning more about SEO optimisation and different tricks to get a site to rank higher, but of course I'm also interested in learning more about image and video editing and web development.
Why did you start developing websites?
It actually started when we found out that my mum's friend was doing web design and that's when me and my brother (Hector) got the idea to try web development. We started by watching videos on YouTube about how it was done and then, once we had learnt a bit more, we started developing sites for small businesses.
