Getting high can be difficult and often takes a long time as all pages are ranked depending on many different factors in Google's search algorithm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is really no need to wait for your\nnew website to move up the rankings. By making use of Google\nadvertising, you can see results immediately and it's not as difficult to use\nor as expensive as you might think.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you do a search in the Google search engine, the adverts that companies have paid for appear at the top of the search page. They are labelled with a green label that says \"ad\". For example, if you run a hairdressing salon and want to rank highly when someone searches for \"hairdresser\" or \"cheap hairdresser \u00d6rebro\". Then you make a bid on how much you are willing to pay for each time someone clicks on your advert or sees your advert in the search results. Then you are ranked compared to your competitors who also bid on your particular keyword or search term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How is the ranking done?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The ranking is not just about the highest bidder, but more importantly\nis that the keyword matches the content of the page. Your bid is only one of five\ncriteria in the ranking and the ad that best matches the criteria is the one that\nends up at the top of the results page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The five criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The quality of your advert and landing page<\/li><li>Quality thresholds that your advert must contain, such as location information and that the advert works on different screen sizes.<\/li><li>Search context.
